Description

A genre-bending surrealist noir set in the 1950s, THE BLUE ROSE follows the one-night journey of two rookie detectives as they set out to solve a seemingly clear-cut homicide, only to find themselves in an alternate reality of their worst nightmares.

It's the 1950s and Detective Dalton and Detective Lilly's investigation of a man murdered in his home takes a surrealist turn, as they search for the dead man's wife and anyone who might have a lead on the case. Soon they become immersed in the mysterious world of Tinseltown, and the women who rule it. The impressive feature debut from 18-year-old George Baron who also stars in the film and is best known for his role in WET HOT AMERICAN SUMMER: FIRST DAY OF CAMP, THE BLUE ROSE is a Lynchian mystery ripped straight from the Golden Age of Hollywood with vibrant production design and on-point performances.
