The Blue Jay Sessions: Holiday Edition

We are happy to announce that our sessions are returning to Mikey's on 12th from Nov. 25-27 with a fun holiday theme!

The Blue Jay Sessions: Holiday Edition will feature 21 talented musicians performing in different sessions over three evenings in songwriters' circles. Singers will share their original music and the stories behind their songs. To keep with the holiday theme, attendees can expect to hear a holiday tune or two as well during any given session.

An exciting holiday-themed food and drink menu has been created and includes "turkey dinner" tacos with cranberry chipotle aioli, Forty Creek Whisky hot chocolate with churros (for dipping!), winter squash salad and more. Plenty of Russell Brewing Co. craft beer will also be available to add to the merriment.

Blue Jay Sessions: Holiday Edition will also serve as a fundraiser for Community Kitchen Program of Calgary. Partial ticket sales will be donated to the charity as well as all proceeds from sales of custom Blue Jay Sessions x Russell Beer Co. holiday ornaments and nightly event posters.

Continuing to keep health and safety front-of-mind, there will be very limited tickets available for the nightly sessions and guests will be asked to wear masks upon arrival until seated at their own table. As well, musicians will be performing behind a plexiglass setup while singing and adhering to all live performance safety protocols put forward by Alberta Health Services.

We ask that whenever possible, attendees only sit at a table with people in their direct cohort.
