Join us for a night of Music and Laughter.  This event is all about coming together as a community to celebrate Recovery and Healing.  We have talented Comedians and Musicians from all walks of life.  We would like to invite Local Recovery Home Clients, Staff, Family and Alumni to our show.  Come and see what life can be like on the other side of addiction.

IVAN DECKER

Award-winning comedian Ivan Decker is a comedy powerhouse, recognized as one of the best in the country. His sharp wit and impeccable timing have graced major media outlets like CBC, CTV, TBS, and more. You've seen him on hit shows such as The Debaters, Just for Laughs, and CONAN, not to mention his half-hour special on NETFLIX.

In 2017, Ivan was named a "Comic to Watch" at the New York Comedy Festival. In 2018, he made history as the first Canadian in 34 years to win a JUNO award for Comedy Album of the Year. Hailing from Vancouver, he has captivated audiences nationwide and internationally with a diverse array of performances. From headlining comedy festivals across North America and Europe to joining prestigious tours like the Just for Laughs Road Show, Ivan has also featured prominently in high-profile comedy series like Rick Mercer's Comedy Night in Canada and Comedy Central's Stand-Up Showcase.

Chortle Magazine in the UK hails his clean, sharp comedy as "smart, original, and slick." His sophomore comedy special "Popcorn," released on YouTube in early 2024, has garnered widespread acclaim, further cementing his status as a comedic tour de force.

About Mark Smith

Mark Smith is a 20-year stand-up veteran, producer, and enthusiastic host who can light up any stage—indoor, outdoor, or online. Even on short notice, Mark brings his "A" game and can ensure a HighEnergy Showcase of Comedians and Comedy alike. He created and runs Stand Up For Recovery, a community-driven comedy series that regularly fills rooms across BC (North Vancouver, Maple Ridge, Recovery Day BC, North Shore Round Up). Mark is a five-year Fringe Festival touring alumni who has played clubs nationwide; He delivers tight 20–30 minute feature sets. Through his vast Network of Performers, he can provide up to a full day of entertainment that is Guaranteed to lift your Spirits.

Mark Smith is a seasoned event producer, promoter, and host with over 20 years in the entertainment industry. As the creator and driving force behind Stand Up For Recovery, he not only books top comedic talent but also ensures HighVolume shows in both laughter and attendance.  Through his unique hands-on marketing and community engagement, Mark fills the room.  The energy of the show builds towards a targeted audience and every attendee has the time of their life!  Mark has successfully planned and hosted large-scale stage performances, including Recovery Day BC’s Food Truck Stage, the North Shore Round Up, and the upcoming Recovery Home Appreciation Day at The Centennial Theatre. Mark combines professional stage presence with exceptional organizational skills, ensuring every event—indoor or outdoor—runs smoothly leaving audiences entertained and inspired.
