Description
The Amplified Invisible: Electronic Listening/Dancing
A somatic exploration of electronic feedback using contact microphones, effects pedals, and mini-amplifiers. Through a variety of feedback systems we will explore sound creation using our bodies as tools to shape and alter sonic tones.
Participants are invited to bring plastic containers (bottles, jugs, tupperware) to extend these feedback experiments, while the instructor will provide DIY contact microphones to support hands-on, body-based sound exploration.
About erψn temp3st
erψn temp3st is an Edmonton-based dancer and new media/sound artist of settler descent. Their explorations cross multiple disciplines and aim to redefine body-based practices in terms of technological, sonic, and sculptural intervention. erψn’s work has been presented across so-called Canada and internationally. They are an MFA candidate and full scholarship recipient in Art and Technology/Sound Practices at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago 2026 graduating class.
