Santa Fe Teaching Zoo Teen Summit: From Passion to Profession

Discover what it takes to turn a love for animals into a career at the Santa Fe Teaching Zoo Teen Summit! Designed for teens curious about careers in animal care and conservation, this summit explores the path to becoming a zookeeper, including college programs and hands-on preparation. Attendees will hear from professionals working in zookeeping, wildlife rehabilitation, exotic veterinary medicine, research, and other zoo-related fields. Through engaging presentations and real-world insights, students will learn about the careers in the zoological industry and how to start their own journey from passion to profession.

Your registration includes free admission to Zookeeper Day the following day, giving you the opportunity to return to the zoo and continue exploring behind-the-scenes experiences in action.

For just $35, participants receive two days of zoo admission, access to behind-the-scenes activities, and a full day of programming during the summit.

Lunch will be provided, so attendees can stay energized and focused while connecting with peers and professionals throughout the day.
