Take Off Performance Showcase

The Take-Off Performance Showcase features an eclectic collection of musical theatre solos with a few scenes and ensemble numbers mixed in. There are classic broadway hits like “Maybe This Time” from Cabaret, “I Dreamed a Dream” from Les Misérables and new favourites like “Burn” from Hamilton and “Times Are Hard for Dreamers” from Amélie. Ensemble numbers include “Side By Side” from Company and “You’re Goin’ Back To Jail” from Bonnie & Clyde.

Take-Off is LBMT’s new educational program aimed at bringing local musical theatre performers to the next level. Twelve participants have been partaking in weekly private lessons in musical theatre vocal performance and weekly group workshops and masterclasses in a variety of related subjects, such as acting, dance, blocking techniques, and character development. Now they are almost finished their program and getting ready to show YOU their development in the Take-Off Performance Showcase!
