AWOL One (Anthony "AWOL One" Martin) is an underground hip-hop artist and illustrator from Los Angeles, California. Known for his highly original, poetic songwriting and distinctive vocal style, he has remained a cornerstone of independent music since the late 1990s. With an unyielding work ethic that stretches across more than three decades, the Los Angeles native is capturing the attention of a new generation of listeners while maintaining his status as an underground innovator.Originally rising to prominence as a core member of the legendary L.A. collective The Shape Shifters, AWOL One completely shifted the sonic landscape of independent music. He introduced a singular vocal identity defined by a deep gravelly voice with a heavy atmosphere and arhythmic spoken-word-infused delivery. Id Obelus (the artistic identity of rapper Rick Hashel) is a veteran underground hip hop artist based out of Logansport, Indiana. Widely recognized across the indie rap landscape for his quirky, deeply honest lyricism and self-deprecating braggadocio, his style sits comfortably alongside the left-of-centre, abstract stylings of labels like Anticon and Plague Language. Over a multi-decade career, he has anchored the Indiana indie scene while building extensive collaborative ties with major West Coast underground pioneers.

Rove is an underground hip hop producer based out of western Canada. Widely respected in the underground for his atmospheric and heavily textured production style, Rove has carved out a unique space by marrying classic boom-bap grime with left-field, experimental sample choices. He is known for his collaborative partnerships with legendary West Coast underground figure AWOL One and midwestern alternative rap veteran Id Obelus; collectively known as Fresh A.I.R. Showing his sonic versatility, Rove teamed up with the notorious Hollywood rapper Mickey Avalon for a full-length collaborative album Postcards From Hell (2023).

Gel Roc is a veteran Los Angeles emcee and a foundational pillar of the Southern California underground hip-hop scene. Renowned for his dense lyricism, battle-tested delivery, and unwavering commitment to independent music, he has spent decades navigating the West Coast rap landscape.  Gel solidified his reputation through Project Blowed, the legendary Leimert Park open-mic workshop known as the absolute testing ground for elite lyricists. He is a key member of the Endangered Elements crew (better known as E Times 2 or Ex2) and the broader, multifaceted Mass Men collective. The Cloaks brings together two legendary pillars of the West Coast indie-rap scene, Gel Roc and AWOL One.
