Ola Dada: Tryna Be Funny

Ola Dada host of the 2025 Juno Awards for Comedy Album of the Year, Canada’s Got Talent semi-finalist, and runner-up in both SiriusXM Top Comic and the Seattle International Comedy Competition—has toured across Canada and the U.S., performing at major comedy festivals like Just For Laughs, Grindstone Comedy Festival, Winnipeg Comedy Festival, Halifax Comedy Festival, and on CBC’s The Debaters.

He’s released two comedy specials, Dada Plan and Unlimited Dada and now he’s back with a bunch of new jokes he’s testing out live. Some might kill, some might flop but that’s the fun of it.

It’s a laid-back night of raw material, personal stories, and sharp cultural takes. Come hang, laugh, and help shape Ola’s next comedy special in real time.

This show will be presented in the Salazar Stage (Main floor).

Accessibility

Please note that the venue has two separate spaces, upstairs and downstairs. All show listings should indicate which room they’re in on the description. Please ensure you note the location as both spaces do not have the same level of accessibility. 

The front entrance has power assisted doors. 

There’s a powered lift from street level to the main performance space. For more information on the limitations of our lift, please check out our website.

The venue has six private washrooms on the main floor, one of which is fully accessible with a power assisted door. The theatre doors to the main space are not power assisted at this time. The second floor is not accessible and is up two flights of stairs.
