As a founding member and former lead singer, guitarist, and primary songwriter of the Barenaked Ladies, he sold over 15 million albums and scored multiple Junos, Billboard Music Awards, SOCAN awards, Gemini Awards and two Grammy nominations, and was inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame. 

Since launching his solo career in 2009, Steven continues to garner international acclaim, touring five solo albums worldwide.
