The Whiskeyjays are a 5-banger guitar band hailing from Langley BC. Born and raised between the city and country, these homegrown boys bring a Western flare to good old Rock’n’Roll.  It didn’t take long for them to outgrow their modest honkytonk roots and they are now hell bent on bringing their “PSYCHEBILLY”  sound to the world.  Stephan and Luc met at the tender age of 14, and grew up immersed in the music of Wilco, Springsteen, Ryan Adams, and other classic rock and alt-country influences.  They met Vince, Tom, and Steve along the way and their shared love of great music, jamming, song writing, and malt beverages has resulted in a fiercely loyal and hard-hitting posse, playing venues all across the Lower Mainland.  So, buckle up and hold on to your beers - these boys are taking you on bumpy ride back to the true heart of Rock’n’Roll.

Pleasant Trees (Vancouver) www.youtube.com/channel

Once upon a time in the sprawling jungles of Greater Vancouver, lived a young man on a hill surrounded by friends, trees, and the sound of nature. This young man was unfamiliar with Vancouver and began to develop a burning curiosity towards the natives and their rituals. One day he set out to a local gathering place know as BEZ artshub.

BEZ is a hard-to-find little studio off of the great 64 Avenue that boasts rambunctious live shows, amazing and talented staff, dance lessons for all ages, and an open mic. That very open mic is what drew this young mans attention. At this open mic he found that the natives were not so different from himself and was quickly welcomed into their festivities. New art, dance, and music began to fill his life until one day he met another group of young men foreign to the gathering place known as BEZ.

These new musicians had great talent and fervor drawing his attention. After introductions were made, they became fast friends.

What started as a simple jam on stage at BEZ became the band you know today as ‘Pleasant Trees’. A band completed only by the pursuit of laughter, dance, and sweet hellos.
