Come join us for a Paddle Social in Squamish on Sunday, September 10, 2023!

Squamish Paddling Club x All Access Adventures x RiseHwy99 are very stoked to bring our communities together for a paddle on the beautiful waters of Átl'ka7tsem "Howe Sound".  We can't wait to head out on the water with you and help raise funds for Tantalus Wellspring Society, a Squamish-based charity who aim to make therapy and wellness services accessible for the community. 


Event details: 

TIME: **please arrive by 7:15-7:30am to set up your board and get on your life jacket so that we are ready to launch at 8am before the winds pick up**

8:00 - 10:30 am paddle & 11:00am - 1:00pm  social BBQ
WHERE: Loggers Lane, Squamish
WHO: All paddlers, abilities, crafts and backgrounds are welcomed! 
COST: Tickets are available on a sliding scale to cover the ticket and make a donation to Tantalus Wellspring through RiseHwy99 


Spend the morning on the water with your fellow paddlers and stick around to post-paddle eats with a social BBQ! This social paddle is an opportunity to connect with fellow paddling enthusiasts, make new friends, and enjoy the stunning surroundings of our coastal paradise. 

 

We'll gather at the Squamish Paddling Club bright and early for an 8 AM launch. Get ready to embark on a leisurely paddle along the scenic waterways, as the morning sunlight paints a beautiful backdrop for our adventure. Whether you're an experienced paddler or a beginner, this event is open to all skill levels, and all paddle craft, making it a perfect outing for families, friends, and individuals alike. 

 

After our paddling adventure, we'll continue the celebration with a BBQ from 11 AM to 1 PM. Indulge in mouthwatering treats and thirst-quenching beverages! Vegetarian options available. It's the perfect opportunity to relax, socialize, and refuel after an invigorating paddle.


Throughout the day, our knowledgeable guides will be on hand to share interesting tidbits about the local ecosystem, history, and culture, as well as nature based therapists to offer connections on the water, enriching your experience and deepening your connection with Squamish. There may even be opportunities for wildlife sightings, adding a touch of wonder to our adventure!

Please let us know if you need any rental gear (paddle craft, paddle, leash, lifejacket)
There are multiple options to rent gear listed below. Please note that all rentals availability is based on first come, first serve so be sure to reserve early!

  • All Access Adventures:$25.00 inflatable SUP rental, incl. leash, lifejacket and paddle. Board will be pumped up and ready at the launch spot. Purchase rental ticket through Showpass. 
  • Squamish Paddling Club Members only:SUPs, Kayaks, and Surfskis available for SPC members/ Please purchase the ticket for food, beverage & donation only($10-25 per ticket) and email programmes@squamishpaddlingclub.com to reserve gear. Not a member? sign up here. 
  • Valhalla Pure Outfitters Squamish:50% discount code available for kayaks and sup rentals for this paddle. RiseHwy99 is a Sea-To-Sky-based adventure brand whose mission is to raise awareness surrounding mental health and the benefits that physical activity can bring. They do this via community events, meet-ups and apparel lines; donating back to charities and organisations within this field. For this event RiseHwy99 are pleased to be supporting Tantalus Wellspring Society; a Squamish-based registered charitable organisation who strive to facilitate affordable therapeutic services and activities in Squamish and the Sea To Sky corridor.

 

All Access Adventures is a Vancouver-based adventure company that rents gear for standup paddling, backcountry ski touring, surfing and snowshoeing at accessible pricing. We hosts community meetups and events also at an accessible cost so all may access the outdoors and raise funds for charities and non-profit groups in our local community. All Access meetups provide a welcoming atmosphere for paddlers from a variety of backgrounds. We are focused on community building, providing a safe space for queers, women, Black, Indigenous & People of Colour (BIPOC) and anyone new to the sport who want to meet other adventurers. We are a queer owned and female run and pride ourselves on providing quality gear and customized adventure experiences. 

 

Squamish Paddling Club is a community, non-profit volunteer based club focused on building an accessible, active paddling community, fostering skills and ocean safety, and supporting environmental and community awareness on our beautiful warter ways of Átl'ka7tsem/Howe. We offer accessible paddling opportunities, connections, and courses, storage, and marine access for the Squamish community for all crafts and abilities! When you join the Squamish Paddling Club you are joining a vibrant community of paddling enthusiasts who love exploring and protecting the beautiful waters of Squamish, British Columbia. Refund Policy

If the Social Paddle is cancelled due to any factors or causes not in the control of the issuer, the latter will offer a partial or full refund, or postpone the event, or provide a comparable ‘make good’ option. These factors will be inclusive of, but not limited to, inclement weather, natural disasters, federal/provincial announcements, and the like. Once again, the decision of All Access Adventures & Squamish Paddling Club will be considered final.
