Sophye Soliveau is a singer, harpist and choir director. Her love of African-American music, from R'n'b to soul, including gospel, took root in her childhood, and she deepened her skills by following a classical education. From the diversion that nourishes her improvisations, the search for healing and the learning of freedom, INITIATION, her first album, was born. The fiery celebration of a voluptuous R'n'b. INITIATION is characterized by its refined orchestration. Sophye's vocal cords and those of her harp unite, rise against a backdrop of airy choirs and a bass-drum rhythm with a precious and subtle groove that magnifies an original repertoire with deeply soulful inspirations.
