Snowbound Expo is the relaunch of the well known ‘Boston Ski & Snowboard Expo’ bringing together the ski & snowboard community to meet up & plan for their next adventure in the mountains. The show will bring together brands showcasing the latest gear, equipment, apparel, technology and is the place to pick up ski passes for the next season. Snowbound Expo hosts an amazing line up of inspirational speakers who will share their skills and experiences to get visitors stoked for the next season! Snowbound Expo is accessible to all – no matter your age, sexual orientation, race, ability – if you want to try out snowsports or improve your techniques, Snowbound Expo is the place for you!

The following is a list of parking facilities around the Hynes. The below garages total over 4,400 spaces within a three-block walk of the Hynes. There is also metered parking available around the Hynes and adjacent streets on a first-come, first-serve basis. Please note that except for the Boston Common Garage, the MCCA does not own, operate, or endorse any of the garages listed below, they are provided here only to assist in your search for close parking locations.

INDOOR SLOPE

The Expo isn’t in the mountains so we’re bringing a slope to you!

This is a great opportunity to put on some skis or strap on a board and have a go. For beginners or simply those who have missed the slopes, it’s a chance to get interactive at the show! Professional coaches will be on hand to chat about getting into snowsports and the benefits of starting to build skills and confidence before hitting the mountains.

This all adds to the fun to be had at the expo across the weekend.

THE SEIRUS INSPIRATION STAGE

The Seirus Inspiration Stage is the main area for visitors to see incredible Olympians, world record breaking adventurers and legends from the ski and snow industry. The line up so far includes Bode Miller, Dan Egan, Philip Henderson, Vasu Sojitra, Lindsay Fixmer, Dani Reyes Acosta, Conrad Anker and many others. Learn what motivates them, what inspires them to train harder and push the boundaries. Get stoked for thrilling stories. Visitors have a chance to ask questions at the end of the sessions, get selfies, autographs and meet the legends. If that’s not something to get stoked about, we don’t know what is!

THE SNOW SKILLS CABIN

It doesn’t matter if you’re a hardcore ski enthusiast, beginner, racer or once a year on the slopes – the The Snow Skills Cabin is designed to help you.  It is the one of two stages in the event where interactive sessions will leave you with an idea on how to improve your ski/snowboarding. The likes of Dan Egan, Bode Miller and Dani Reyes Acosta plus others will share their advice and training tips to help advance skillsets.  The stage will play host to some of the industry’s most experienced professionals, ready to impart knowledge, upskill and share their experience and stories.

Sessions will run throughout the weekend as the schedule starts to fill up so if you can catch one or two talks, it’ll be worth your time.

CROSS COUNTRY AND SNOWSHOE EXPERIENCE

The Cross Country Ski Experience is brought to you by the Cross Country Ski Areas Association, the experts in learning how and where to go cross country skiing and snowshoeing in North America.  Learn to cross country ski or snowshoe with instructors from Weston Ski Tracks on simulated snow or learn the summer version called roller skiing.

Prefer a less strenuous activity, try Nordic Walking, a total body version of walking that can be done both by non-athletes as a health promoting activity and by athletes as a sport.

Elements of the booth to include:

• Learn about cross country skiing
• Learn to snowshoe
• Try cross country skiing or snowshoe on our simulated snow
• Try roller skiing with an instructor
• See equipment and clothing used for cross country skiing
• Demo a pair of Nordic Walking poles
