Description

 Selci

Selci crafts an ambitious blend of R&B, ambient music and electronic pop that is anchored by her soulful, powerful voice and moving lyricism. She has honed her distinctive visual aesthetic by self-directing and producing nearly a dozen music videos for her various singles. Selci’s live performances are striking, making use of looping synthesizers and bringing her ethereal, mind-bending visuals to the stage.

Eine Kleine China

Eine Kleine China (pronounced “eye-na kly-na China”) is a Calgary-based experimental project that merges guitar melodies, beats, samples and sparse vocals to take listeners on a journey through EKC’s dreams. Latest release Prince Tsushinkogyo was mastered by Jamie Sitar, who has also worked with Black Mountain and Bend Sinister. Take a vibrant kaleidoscopic trip.

Actor Director

Electro-pop duo Actor Director is made up of Emily Kohlert, who has played in numerous indie pop and folk acts, and Jared Beattie, whose musical experience skews towards post-rock and garage-rock. Together, though, they take the brimming melodies of ‘80s acts like Yaz and Eurythmics while weaving in off-kilter elements more akin to Gary Numan or Laurie Anderson. Get a taste for yourself with singles “Dear Friend” and “Gold.”

Lokey

Leif Olson aka Lokey (that strange bass layer) creates live, improvised, glitchy bass music, lush downtempo soundscapes, and odd techno explorations, using an ever-evolving performance engine to conjure new music into the world.
