Sled Island & Victoria Park BIA present: Motherhood + guests

Chaotic art-rock trio Motherhood will play this year’s Sled Island the same week that new record Winded is released. In Motherhood tradition, first single “Ripped Sheet” trades in experimental punk and post-punk with blasts of psych rock thrown in. Sunforger

Forged from the ashes of past project Mono No Aware, Sunforger is a twitchy indie rock band that plays with elements of emo, math-rock, post-punk and post-grunge for songs that’ll make your teeth itch. Each song is unpredictable yet tight, wound up into about two-minutes of controlled chaos each. Fear not, as each song has an anchoring sense of rhythm and melody to keep things on the rails.

Sunglaciers

A well-oiled machine with a new album and international festival appearances under its belt, Sunglaciers is poised for success. The band’s latest full-length record Subterranea was produced by Chad VanGaalen, and draws focus to the group’s eclectic sound, seamlessly blending psych-pop sensibilities with ethereal layers of electronic voicings, all while shrouded in absurdism.
