Sled Island and CKUA present: Salami Rose Joe Louis, Tricky FM, Eejungmi and more

Salami Rose Joe Louis

Described by Pitchfork as “Captain Beefheart for synth heads who grew up watching Adult Swim,” Salami Rose Joe Louis (AKA Lindsay Olsen) harnesses electronic tinkerings and glitch-y hooks to explore cosmic tinged storytelling in her lyricism. A signee to Flying Lotus’ Brainfeeder label, she recently dropped a recording of a rehearsal entitled Inside, with trio, at pattys, which should prepare you nicely for her mind-bendingly catchy live show.  

Tricky FM

Exploring the complex terrain of contemporary womanhood, Tricky FM (the solo electronic project of Hana Freed) navigates love, intimacy, trust, and artistic fulfilment through a blend of early-2000s indietronica, drum and bass, ambient, freak-folk and pop. The result is a sound that feels nostalgic, forward-thinking and unmistakably her own.

Eejungmi 

The solo electronic project of Toronto-based artist, DJ and architect Katie Lee, Eejungmi (이정미) blends textural left-field pop and dance-inspired production with deep introspection, navigating the emotional landscapes of identity and grief. Her debut album, Water is a Shifting Mirror, was released in February 2026.

Aladean Kheroufi

A veteran of the “making it work” school of music making, Aladean Kheroufi records in improvised spaces with borrowed microphones and a minimalist, low-volume sound that will be instantly familiar to fans of Vulfpeck. He writes songs that are idiosyncratic, soulful and devastating, with a glass half-full optimism that turns heartbreak into melancholy party anthems.
