Description
Mizmor
מזמור — Romanized as Mizmor, the Hebrew word for “psalm” — is the solo black metal brainchild of A.L.N. His songs explore loss of spiritual anguish, nihilism, and absurdity with titanic riffs and droning ambiance that he describes as “wholly doomed black metal.” Find catharsis through heaviness with their latest four-track incinerator Prosaic and their ripping Sled Island debut.
Raphael Weinroth-Browne
Internationally renowned cellist Raphael Weinroth-Browne combines influences from metal and Middle Eastern music, defying traditional expectations of how the cello should sound. As a solo artist, he channels the energy of a full band through his cinematic compositions, using live looping and a myriad of effects to conjure otherworldly soundscapes.
Snakepit Ab
The Wildrose hardcore scene is thriving, and Snakepit Ab is one of its mightiest titans. These death metal mutilators have been going since 2012, and their brutal thrashcore assault is relentless. Case in point: last year’s Invasion of Fire features three tracks of highly technical death metal that’ll leave your neck sore and your ears blissfully ringing.
