Description

Michael Peter Olsen

In addition to being a captivating, solo electric cellist making epic ambient music, Michael Peter Olsen is a film composer, Grammy-nominated songwriter and collaborator of Drake and The Hidden Cameras. For his solo practice, he cheekily refers to his work as similar to “Enya (but instrumental)” and “Kraftwerk (with no drums.)” Olsen is also a full time member of shoegaze outfit Zoon, who you may have seen at Sled Island 2022.

Luke Requena

Primarily working with analog synthesizers, Luke Requena creates music to soundtrack whatever realm you may find yourself exploring, and it’s easy to get lost in the dense and moody ambiance of his compositions. Engaging and inviting, there is a warmth and comfort throughout the sonic landscape that Requena has created.

Hailstones

Hailstones is the brainchild of Calgary-based Iranian musician Hesam Ohadi (aka Idlefon). After 15 years of making strictly electronic music, Ohadi started to experiment with piano and vocals in a fully acoustic context. Those experimentations led to the formation of Hailstones, a band that Ohadi started with their fellow musicians Mehraun Ehsani and Bo Scavvies.
