Description
Maky Lavender
Maky Lavender is a bilingual rapper that drops lyrics over a variety of beats, from deep emotional synths to dancefloor trap. His music is both pop-forward and laid back, while newer tracks are straight-up club bangers. Maky L’s music is dynamic with a worldly influence, and listeners can hear London, NYC and Montreal influences from track to track.
ILLHumanNation
ILLHumanNation is a vocal-forward, six-piece hip-hop group often layering sultry guitar parts and heartfelt melodies with classic hip-hop beats to share messages of hope. Bringing illumination to an ill human nation is at the core of IHN’s mantra, and through conscious rhymes and choruses, they’re working on healing one listener at a time.
Lowkita
Lowkita blends hip-hop, R&B and Caribbean tones to create a unique sound perfect for primetime at the club. Not afraid to slow it down every once and awhile, her latest single “Karmahis” features a mellower vibe with melodic keys, displaying Lowkita’s vocal range and ability to create both bangers and ballads.
Serenade & Adoré
Calgary duo Serenade & Adoré – consisting of Temitope "Serenade" Alao and George "Adoré" El Fakhouri – make dark R&B influenced by cold Canadian nights, long winters and self-seclusion roots. Think early The Weeknd releases, dipped in a bit of Jeremih and Future. Serenade’s ability to quiver between vibrato and falsetto is impressive, and so too are the more than 400,000 streams on Apple Music and Spotify they’ve acquired.
