Description

Enny Owl

Described as “the sound nature would make if it could sing,” fantastical songwriter Enny Owl creates magical realities brimming with celtic folk melodies and bathed in ethereal pop production. Her latest release Homes in Humans is a heartfelt concept album devoted to healing and finding oneself – common occurrences at her radiant live shows.

Sam Tudor

Singer-songwriter Sam Tudor’s solo work is a highly collaborative vehicle for his expressive voice and plaintive lyrical style. Tudor’s singing and guitar are the anchors, but elements of jazz and electronic music swirl their way into his sound, creating new textures from moment to moment. His January single “Do You Feel Free Now?” is a great example of the subtle flavours his accompaniment brings out.

Bennett Mitchell

Layering relaxed vocal delivery over a sparse blend of folk and country twang, Bennett Mitchell writes plaintively nostalgic ballads about life and love. His vivid imagery is both comforting and mournful, sharing glimpses of his life that invite the listener to join in with their reflection and contemplation. Come and be whisked away by one of Calgary’s most unique songwriters.

Hermitess

Enter the haunting realm of Hermitess, where ethereal melodies and spectral harmonies intertwine. Born from the dreams of an aging city witch, Jennifer Crighton’s experimental harp manipulation weaves magic with layered orchestral textures and distanced, hypnotic electronica. Joined live by scene veterans like Chris Dadge and Keith Rodger, Crighton is guaranteed to put a spell on you.
