Description

Dave Merheje

Dave Merheje is one of the most original standup voices on the comedy scene today. His multiple award-winning act has gained a loyal following across North America with his “no fear” approach on stage and a comedy style best described as aggressive in-your-face funny. Dave had his first comedy special aired in Australia on ABC2. His second special Good Friend Bad Grammar won the 2019 Juno Award for Comedy Album of the Year. His third special Beautifully Manic, can be seen on Netflix as part of Comedians of the World, and his fourth special titled I Love You Habibi is currently live on Crave. Dave is a regular at the Just For Laughs Festival in Montreal, and has made multiple appearances at JFL42 in Toronto, Winnipeg Comedy Festival, the Halifax Comedy Festival, the Melbourne International Comedy Festival in Australia, and tours clubs and theatres regularly.

Dave co-starred in the indie film Sometimes I Think About Dying alongside Daisy Ridley and he currently co-stars in the critically acclaimed series Ramy on Hulu and CraveTV. 

 

Amy Edgar (Host)

Amy Edgar is a stand up comedian and with clowns on both branches of her family tree, comedy, humour and grease paint flow through her veins. Notable appearances include the YYComedy Festival, SheDot Comedy Festival, FemmeWave Festival, Sled Island Music & Arts Festival, and Sirius XM’s Top Comic.

 

Jordanne Brown

Jordanne Brown is a standup comedian, writer and performer based in Toronto. She is the recipient of the Eugene Levy Writing Award, the Tim Sims Encouragement Award, and the I Heart Jokes Best New Comer of 2017. Jordanne has been featured on CBC’s TallBoyz and Toronto Sketch Fest and she performs frequently (truly, I wouldn’t lie to you) all over Toronto and southern Ontario!

She is the host and producer of Sorry I’m Late Night w/ Apologies by Jordanne Brown, and the proud owner of a monthly comedy newsletter Do You Mind if I Email You?

 

Mark Little

Mark Little is an award-winning actor, writer and comedian. He has appeared on JFL and Conan, co-founded the sketch comedy group Picnicface and was named one of Variety’s 10 Comics To Watch For 2013. Mark has starred in multiple TV shows, including Mr. D and Cavendish, and has won a combined 15 Canadian Comedy Awards. The second season of Mark’s animated series Gary And His Demons premiered on Prime Video earlier this year.

 

Tin Lorica

Tin Lorica is a comedian and writer based in Vancouver. They have been featured on CBC’s The New Wave of Standup and Killjoy Comedy on OUTtv. They run and co-host Millennial Line and MSG (Make Some Good) Comedy, which have been featured on JFL Vancouver’s Best of the West lineup. You can also hear their jokes on JFL Originals’ compilation album, Stand-up BC: Grossly Underfunded Circus.

 

Jeff D'Silva

Jeff D'Silva is a stalwart of the local comedy scene and all around scamp. He's the host of such standup nights as Jeff's Night OutCommon People and Sit Down Shut Up Stand Up Comedy. Jeff is also a semi-professional skateboarder and has been followed on Twitter by former Mayor Naheed Nenshi.

 



About Sled Island

The Sled Island Music & Arts Festival is a five-day, multi-venue festival taking place June 22 - 26, 2022. To see the current lineup, visit SledIsland.com. The full festival lineup and schedule will be available in May 2022.

Refund Policy

Would the festival as a whole get canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, a full refund (minus service fees) will be offered to ticket buyers. The only other case where a refund will be offered is if a buyer tests positive for COVID-19 at the time of the festival, making it impossible for them to attend festival events. We will require a proof of positive test for the refund to be issued. Please note that with the exception of the special circumstances described above, ticket purchases are not refundable.
