Description

Circuit des Yeux

Experimental singer-songwriter Haley Fohr brings her Circuit des Yeux back to Sled Island after five years. On her 2021 album -io, a critical darling, Fohr continues to wow with her near-operatic baritone, locked grooves and a new degree of orchestral drama.

Flore Laurentienne

Composer Mathieu David Gagnon’s debut album as Flore Laurentienne, Volume I, is a combination of analogue synth and string-forward orchestration. Recently re-released on RVNG Intl., it is filled with score-like compositions that are gorgeous, serene and totally enveloping.

Takleef Ensemble

Takleef Ensemble is a new group working in the multiple disciplines of sound, poetry, video and contemporary art. Featuring guitar, sax, spoken word, violin, bells, percussion, electronics, clarinet and tanpura, the group is getting ready to release its first full-length double LP in late 2022 or 2023. Takleef Ensemble is an ongoing effort to unbind burden, difficulty and sorrow — expect poetry, personal accounts and haunting melody.
