Description

Handsome Tiger

The boundless creativity and bombastic beats of Handsome Tiger have lit up festivals across the west coast in recent years. Blending traditional cultural elements with sound motifs from every corner of bass music, the Anishinaabe Métis, North African producer is a clear lover of the genre. Notably, Handsome Tiger was named in CBC Music’s 6 Indigenous Artists You Need to Know in 2021.

MYNXY

MYNXY (pronounced “Mink-See”) is a DJ and vocalist who has performed at festivals like FVDED in the Park and Pemberton. Her DJ sets can span across genres, such as drum and bass, hip-hop and R&B, and always stand out due to her use of live vocals. Try out her collaborative EP with Sullust, Get Down, for a taste of her versatile sound.

KindaColt

Colten Auger produces and DJs punishing-but-danceable techno as KindaColt. As exemplified on recent single “Unforgivable Life,” Auger largely focuses on the meaty, thundering end of classic techno that calls to mind Berghain and JNCOs.

Caylem Simeon

Tsuut'ina Nation-resident Caylem Simeon has been a house and techno DJ for nearly 30 years and currently runs Drumbeat Entertainment as executive talent director. Locally, he has held local residencies and performed at Beakerhead and the Alberta Electronic Music Conference, while abroad he has created mixes for Pure Radio Holland and Boss Traxx Radio in New York City.
