Description

Sea of Lettuce

Local stalwarts Sea of Lettuce have been navigating the oceans of reverb-drenched river beer anthems since 2016. With three albums under their belt, their refreshing take on sunny indie rock is finely tuned. You can hear the pedigree on their single “Oh My!” – or, better yet, you can see it for yourself.

Pearly Moon

Merging retro vibes with a modern edge, Pearly Moon is the latest recording project from Patrick Earles. Their 2024 debut release Tragicomedy weaves cosmic melodies and hypnotic rhythms into new anthems like “Sophia,” the latest entry to the psychedelic love song lexicon. This one’s for sonic explorers and lo-fi enthusiasts alike.

cistern

Former members of Loam, Painted Fruit and N0V3L make up this fairly new indie rock group from Squamish. Debut album Head Full of Questions from January is a tight collection of nine songs that traverse jaunty trots and tightly coiled post-punk alike. They describe it as “kinda techy, but also vibey,” and honestly, that’s pretty spot on.

Thomas Thomas

Birthed from the creative partnership of Shannon Thomas and Thomas Englund (BETABOYS), Thomas Thomas is a radiant blast of indie joy and surfy dreams. From opening for Shannon and the Clams to playing in Wales this year, the band is a well-oiled machine ready to bring infectiously catchy pop-rock to Sled Island once more.
