Skyrie is a contemporary Scottish trio who blend Scottish and Irish traditional songs, poignant original songs, dance tunes and soundscapes with modern influences from rock to funk. They are masters at looping and layering and add beautiful harmonies, making the trio sound much bigger and more lush. Having performed and recorded over many years with multi award-winning artists as diverse as renowned Scottish singer songwriter Dougie MacLean, Shirley Manson of Garbage, Big Country and Kathy Mattea, they have performed at diverse events such as at the world-renowned Celtic Connections festival in Glasgow and the Dundee New Year Hooley, and in such diverse places as Budapest, Cyprus and the British Embassy in Kuwait.  Wednesday October 14.
