Jim Serediak with Jamie Philp

Jim Serediak has been crafting songs and guitar instrumentals ever since he received his first guitar at age eleven. His compositions have been described by Penguin Eggs Magazine as “a musical love letter to the Canadian landscape… atmospheric songs that paint watercolours of rural Canada, with a few detours into the cities.”

Jim has performed widely at folk festivals, on radio, and on concert stages across the country. His appearances include the Edmonton Folk Festival, North Country Fair, the Leonard Cohen Conference, the Full Moon Folk Club, the Nickelodeon Music Club, and the Festival Place Patio Series. Bill’s Eastern Canadian roots shine through in every performance, whether he’s sharing one of his own songs or interpreting the work of a favourite writer from around the globe. His delivery is passionate, his words sincere, and his voice strong and unvarnished—carrying a message that is both clear and deeply worth hearing.

Bill is the founder of The Northern Lights Folk Club and Hillary's Ride for Mental Health and served on the board for the Canadian Folk Music Awards.

Host - Barbara Leah Meyer

Barbara is delighted to present Endeavour’s very first Singer-Songwriter Nite. Throughout her long and illustrious career as a vocalist, musician, and teacher, she has toured across Canada, Europe, Asia, and the Middle East. She has lived abroad, recorded six albums, and proudly guided two wonderful children into adulthood. Alongside her performances, Barbara also leads yoga and music retreats and workshops in beautiful destinations around the world.
