Shelley Jones, A Touch of Cole

Shelley Jones possesses a versatile voice that can effortlessly adapt to various musical genres. Her singing style exudes authenticity and soul, infusing every song with her unique interpretation From jazz, blues, pop, R&B, soul, groove, rock to country, Shelley has explored and mastered them all.

Shelley grew up listening to and performing rock, pop, and blues music. However, she discovered jazz when she joined the vocal music program at Grant MacEwan. She was heavily influenced by the jazz singers and instrumentalists she discovered on recordings and live performances. Shelley began jamming with fellow music students and soon realized that she had a natural feel for singing jazz. After completing the vocal program, she began performing jazz professionally. She worked in duos, trios, quartets, and big bands, as well as a few symphony orchestras. Aside from being a jazz singer, Shelley also sang in numerous pop, rock, R&B, and soul bands. Her versatility as a vocalist and ability to fit into any musical situation made her a "first call" singer for musicians across the province.

Shelley is not only a performer but also a skilled songwriter. She has written, recorded, and released four solo albums and her vocals have been featured in several radio/television jingles and recordings by other artists.

Shelley is a seasoned stage performer with a distinctive and imaginative style. Her vocals bring a thrilling and tasteful element to all her shows. Despite having a packed performance schedule, she is also working on a new album and attracting more fans nationwide.
