Shane Pendergast

Shane Pendergast has folk music in his blood.

Hailing from a long lineage of storytellers and musicians in Prince Edward Island, he is keeping the Maritime folk tradition alive with his honest and insightful compositions. From acclaimed folk festivals across the world to the small halls of the Maritimes, Shane has cemented himself as one of Atlantic Canada’s finest folk troubadours.

His 2021 album ‘Second Wind” won Contemporary Roots Album of the Year at the Music PEI Awards, and his live album “The House Before the Bridge” was nominated for Roots/Traditional Recording of the Year at the 2023 ECMA’s.

Shane's fourth album, "Winter Grace" is set to release on January 17th 2025. The new album is Shane's most introspective and intimate work to date. Though written as a 'winter album', the recording has a vintage warmth, with themes of love, loss, and finding hope in a frigid landscape.
