Description

Directed by: Phie Ambo | 98 min | 2021 | Denmark
Climate concern played an essential role in Denmark's 2019 election, with citizens from across the country taking to the streets. Demonstrations for a green and sustainable Denmark became the most talked-about topic of the election campaign. There was no doubt that the population was ready, but were the politicians?
70/30 follows some of Denmark’s main characters concerning the climate crisis; two young activists, Esther Kjeldahl and Selma de Montgomery; Ida Auken, Chairwoman of the Climate Comity; and Minister for Climate Dan Jørgensen. The leading character of the film is democracy. Can Denmark's elected representatives solve the climate crisis, or is it all just campaign talk?
