Description

SiriusXM Radio’s Seth Rudetsky is headed to Wilton Manors!

Join the one-and-only “Mayor of Broadway” (as Audra McDonald lovingly calls him) for his award-winning, one-man hit, Seth’s Big Fat Broadway Show—a wildly entertaining mash-up of America’s Funniest Home Videos, The Tony Awards, and The Daily Show.

With more than 25 years on Broadway as an actor, writer, pianist, and conductor, Rudetsky has worked on iconic productions including Les Misérables, The Phantom of the Opera, Ragtime, and The Producers. He’s also a three-time Emmy-nominated comedy writer for The Rosie O’Donnell Show and the creative force behind unforgettable Tony Awards opening numbers—like the legendary 1998 “Divas” performance featuring Patti LuPone, Jennifer Holliday, and Betty Buckley.

Seth’s Big Fat Broadway Show is a hilarious, high-energy 90-minute tour-de-force packed with Seth’s signature “deconstructions”—where he hilariously dissects jaw-dropping performances using his extensive audio and video collection. Expect everything from powerhouse Broadway divas like Idina Menzel and Betty Buckley to delightfully unexpected moments (yes, including The Osmonds singing Fiddler on the Roof…seriously).

And of course, there’s an entire segment dedicated to Barbra Streisand—including the time she showed up to his show in Los Angeles. And yes…he has a story.

This critically acclaimed show has won both the IRNE Award and a BroadwayWorld Award, played to sold-out crowds in London, and earned rave 5-star reviews—hailed as “blindingly brilliant,” “hysterical,” “fantastic,” and an absolute “must-see.”

Don’t miss your chance to experience one of Broadway’s most beloved personalities live in an unforgettable night of laughter, music, and insider stories. 🎭

Seth's bio:

When Broadway went dark in March 2020, Seth Rudetsky and his husband, James Wesley Jackson, turned uncertainty into inspiration—launching the hit livestream series Stars in the House. What began as a way to keep the theater community connected quickly became a powerful fundraising platform, raising more than $1.2 million for The Entertainment Community Fund (formerly The Actors Fund) and celebrating over three years of bringing stars and audiences together.

Before that, Seth had already built an extraordinary career on Broadway as a pianist and conductor, in addition to earning three Emmy nominations as a comedy writer for The Rosie O’Donnell Show. Today, he’s the afternoon DJ on SiriusXM’s Broadway channel and host of Seth Speaks, where his signature wit and deep Broadway knowledge shine.

His acclaimed one-man show, Seth’s Big Fat Broadway Show, has played to enthusiastic audiences in London, Boston (earning an IRNE Award), and Los Angeles—where Barbra Streisand herself was spotted in the audience.

Seth also co-wrote and co-starred in the Broadway musical Disaster! (a New York Times Critics’ Pick), now licensed by Music Theatre International and performed nationwide. As an author, he’s penned the beloved Seth’s Broadway Diary series (with introductions by Nathan Lane, Audra McDonald, and Lin-Manuel Miranda), along with two young adult novels, My Awesome/Awful Popularity Plan and The Rise and Fall of a Theater Geek. His book Musical Theatre for Dummies was released in 2022, followed by an audiobook narrated by Seth himself.

Together, Seth and James have produced numerous impactful charitable projects, including the iTunes chart-topping recording What the World Needs Now Is Love to benefit victims of the Orlando Pulse nightclub tragedy, featuring artists like Jessie Mueller, Carole King, Audra McDonald, and Lin-Manuel Miranda. They also produce and host the annual Voices for the Voiceless concert supporting “You Gotta Believe,” helping older foster youth find families, and have led 13 Concert for America benefits supporting organizations such as the National Immigration Law Center and the NAACP.

In response to the October 7 attacks, Seth founded The Jewish Broadway Alliance—now a registered nonprofit—and hosts a weekly Broadway Shabbat, bringing together performers from across the country in a celebration of community, faith, and storytelling.

And for the ultimate Broadway fan experience, Seth and James also produce Seth’s Big Fat Broadway Cruise, uniting theater lovers and stars for unforgettable adventures at sea.
