SEQUENCE 012: MEASURE DIVIDE

SATURDAY, OCTOBER 17TH

  9PM  | 19+

Sequence Clubnights returns for our fourth season with Sequence - 012: Measure Divide!

Measure Divide is the project of Fahad, a Karachi-born and Toronto-based DJ, producer, and community builder. He moved to Canada in 2004, discovered electronic music soon after, and spent eight years touring internationally in a duo before stepping out on his own in 2012 to develop a sharper, more individual sound under the Measure Divide moniker.

The following year he founded FORMAT, the underground event series that helped reshape Toronto’s techno landscape. What began as a small initiative grew steadily into one of North America’s key platforms for boundary-pushing electronic music, known for its curation, its risk-taking, and its deep community roots.

On stage, Measure Divide’s sets move with raw physical energy: quick pivots, sharp edges, layers that build, collide, and redirect without warning. This approach has taken him across Europe, North America, and South America, with performances at institutions such as Berghain, Tresor, Boiler Room, Stereo, Under Club, K41, Public Records, and others pushing the global underground forward.

As a producer, he gravitates toward grit, tension, and experimentation. His recent output includes Everything Is Porridge on Mutual Rytm X, alongside earlier releases Green Parallel and Evidence of a Rhythmic Pattern on Clergy, each built from metallic textures, unruly momentum, and an obsessive attention to detail. Over more than a decade, his catalog has earned steady respect for its individuality and refusal to follow formula.

With FORMAT now more than a decade deep, Fahad continues to connect global and local circuits, bringing international voices to Toronto while amplifying the city’s own. In an industry in which egotistic and mercenary personalities are all too common, his steady, humble approach is a breath of fresh air.

Driven by a passion for the music above all else and by a desire to create spaces where others can experience it fully, he has become a true linchpin of Toronto’s techno community, bringing the best of the world to the city and showing the best of the city to the world.

Local support acts TBD!
