Sepehr is an Iranian-American live act, DJ, and sonic maverick based in New York City. The Bay area native is an electronic music pariah who enjoys disintegrating and destroying dance music tropes through bizarre and wonderful sound potions. Frequent collaborator of Dark Entries records, he released his debut LP “Shaytoon” through their imprint in 2020.

His DJ sets can range from off-kilter house and psychedelic techno, to lava-like electro, aphrodisiac acid and freaky jakbeat music. In late 2017 he began performing live PA sets, sonically ranging from potent drum cocktails to psychedelic and oxygenated soundscapes. Sepehr is the label head of Shaytoon Records, an imprint focused on Middle Eastern underground electronic music.

   

Before relocating to Vancouver, Overland sharpened her skills in the snowy expanses of Alberta, Canada. A tireless DJ and promoter, she’s hosted a score of all-nighters and club events across the city, making her mark as an enthusiastic booster of a vibrant scene.

Her tracks embody her DJ sets, a frenetic fusion of classic acid techno with fresh rave sensibilities, both razor-sharp and mind-expanding in the same breath. Her ability to connect scenes and sounds from across the globe found fertile soil quickly, and releases followed on Los Angeles-based Helpful Music, Lisbon’s finest purveyor of peak-time heaters, Naïve and New York’s Sweat Equity.
