5 things to do in Calgary in July
Happy one millionth day of quarantine, or something like that! Are we still even calling it quarantine with things slowly opening back up? There’s so much information coming at us all the time it’s getting a little confusing. What we do know is that even through all of this crisis and uncertainty, Calgary has managed to remain as resilient as ever. Our city has come up with some really incredible ways to safely socialize outside the house, and we wanted to be able to share those with you. With companies being as active as ever on social media, we thought we would help cut through some of the noise by creating a list of our favourite things going on in Calgary in July.
Listen to live music from a box suite
Do you miss live music as much as we do? This concert series is as close as it gets to a Saddledome concert but you can bring your own food and drinks! Hotels Live is a concert series that uses hotel rooms with balconies to act like VIP box suites, allowing you to have a concert going experience while still social distancing. Concert goers watch the live band on the pool deck. It’s a creative way to bring hundreds of people into the same building to enjoy live music together while still following Alberta Health Services regulations.
When: July 18 @ 7 p.m.
Watch a concert from the comfort of your vehicle
Who would have thought that concert announcements would be few and far between. Feels like the last time a Saddledome concert happened was back when dinosaurs roamed the earth. Okay yeah, that was a tad dramatic. Anyways, Gord Bamford will be in Calgary on his Drive-in for Mental Health tour. This drive-in concert is a part of a multi-city concert series in Alberta. All proceeds from this concert will be going to Breaking Free Foundation and Canadian Mental Health Association Calgary. Guests can choose from general admission or VIP front section tickets!
Where: Grey Eagle Resort and Casino
When: July 18th 6 p.m and 9 p.m.
