Shifting Gears: UBC Social Enterprise Conference 2018

Over the past 3 years, the UBC Social Enterprise Conference has introduced more than 900 delegates to the concept of Social Entrepreneurship. These conference participants have learned how to create game-changing solutions, and have been exposed to the importance of scalability. Together, we have established that the underlying passion for solving a social or environmental issue is the basis for success in any impact driven business. 

The 2018 UBC Social Enterprise Conference will challenge delegates to think deeper about issues faced by society, both local and global. Our theme, “Shifting Gears: Drive The Change,” will inspire students to dream up their own innovative ideas and solutions to current societal dilemmas.

WHAT'S NEW THIS YEAR? 

We are shifting gears and focusing on the issues, before exploring solutions. Our conference will provide our delegates with a toolbox which will enable them to realize their passions through Social Enterprise. Whether that be through our company and issue based workshops or through the wise words of our keynote speakers - we want to challenge their existing ideas so they can reach new, innovative and creative solutions.

Our conference brings together the beginners and experts of social entrepreneurship into an environment of learning and collaboration. Joining them is a diverse network of professionals representing various companies and issues on the beautiful campus of The University of British Columbia.
