Rube & Rake engage audiences with a mixture of stories, intricate guitar work, and rich vocal harmonies. After working together for the past 6 years in St. John’s, NL, Josh Sandu and Andrew Laite have fused an intimate musical connection that comes across in every new song and performance.
ECMA 2022 Songwriter of the Year and 2020 Music NL Folk/Roots Artist of the Year award winners, Rube & Rake’s music is an exercise in creating something beyond the sum of their parts. Wednesday July 23.
Opener: Amanda Walther (she/her) is a Juno-nominated, award-winning queer artist from Toronto whose work spans music, film, and visual storytelling—best known for her roles in folk duo Dala and jazz project Dizzy & Fay, as well as her multidisciplinary contributions behind the scenes.
296 Broadview is not yet a fully wheelchair accessible venue, with stairs between all levels. Our goal is to fix that, and we need your support to do so - please consider making a donation towards our goals to make HRL the best listening room in Toronto!
