The Cowtown Collection is so excited to announce that Romeo & MOOliet is BACK for a second year of Calgary's best Bovine-Bard-Bonanza! This ridiculous, music-filled adaptation of William Shakespeare's classic is guaranteed to be the best thing you've ever HERD. With the continued hiatus of Calgary’s staple summer Shakespeare program, come support the continuation of this theatrical tradition. This show is rated PG. The Cowtown Collection is the world's best cow-themed brass-theatre ensemble, a title they fought hoof and pail for. Founded in 2020 as a community marching band, Cowtown has created and performed several original musical and theatrical shows, including an award winning presentation of Journey to Bovine-9 at Soundsport music and food festival in Indianapolis, and the world's first hour-long narrative-driven brass-theater show COWS at the Edmonton Fringe Festival. In the last year, Cowtown has been shifting gear towards a professional model, seeking performances and opportunities that pay the marching artists of Calgary for their hard-earned skills. They aspire to become a known and cherished performance ensemble in the Calgary, Alberta, and Canada. They also hope someone will come replace the trough soon as their cud is beginning to get old.
