RMSO Mozart Concerto Competition

Mozart Piano Concerto Open Rehearsals and Performances

Our ongoing co-production with the Mountain View Festival allows us to bring seven young pianists all under 14 to the concert stage at the Polaris Centre where they will be performing with ensemble in preparation for the Mozart Birthday Festival series January 26 and 27, 2024.

This competition is a unique learning experience for the participants, as they are required to rehearse and perform with an instrumental ensemble that they will meet for the first time at the start of their session. This allows the jury to assess not only their preparation skills with their teacher, but also their rehearsal and ensemble skills, essential abilities for soloists of all ages.

All events are open to the public
$10 per session (pay at the door)
$50 for a weekend pass
