River & Sky Music/ Camping Festival 2022

For those of you who are new to R&S, we are a music & art festival featuring live emerging & celebrated Canadian music across many genres, all while celebrating the culture of camping in Northern Ontario. We typically feature 45+ emerging and celebrated Canadian music acts presented in an iconic Canadian camping landscape of pine trees, water, and starry skies. In addition, the festival also features visual art installations by 4-8 artists and art collectives, 20 crafters, 4-6 food vendors featuring locally sources food, and 20+ skill-building and arts-focused workshops. Our saunas are a big hit and the cool running Sturgeon River makes a big splash. You will not be camping in a giant, sunbaked field – you will have plenty of trees and people for company.

If you plan on bringing a trailer, you can purchase a "trailer camping add-on" during the checkout process.

This year, we will not be requiring a minimum COVID vaccination for entry. We came to this decision by taking into consideration the risk factor of us being a fully outdoor event, higher levels of vaccination, and the provinces current safety guidelines. That being said, we encourage mask wearing at all stages when dancing, moshing, moving, etc… we want everyone to be comfortable!

When purchasing your ticket, there is the option of an add-on, “Masked Camping”, at no cost during the checkout process. What this means is that any person who chooses this will be able to camp in a specified area where everyone within the area must be masked (outside of their tent), no matter if they are camping there or not.

Of course, as we get closer to the festival we will be keeping a close eye on the status of the pandemic, our province, any rules put in place and safety regulations that might be needed. We will work closely with the North Bay & Parry Sound Health Unit to monitor the situation!
