Get ready for an unforgettable cultural experience at the Louise Bennett-Coverley Heritage Council’s Ring Ding & Ting on September 7th and 8th at the Lauderhill Performing Arts Center. The event is a modern-day revival of the beloved Ring Ding television program hosted by Miss Lou. Produced in collaboration with original producer Maxine Trotter, this presentation will showcase children aged 6-12 in vibrant performances of song, poetry, dance, and music. The program will also include appearances by Auntie Roachie (Dr. Sue), Malachi Smith, the Jamaican Folk Revue, and more, enriched with dynamic visual elements and clips of Miss Lou.

The evening continues with "An Ting," featuring performances by Sons of Mystro, Zion, The Dillards Dancer, and Sophia Nicholson, a blend of comedy, music, and dance, with highlights including comedian Ity, Braata Folk Singers, Eugene Grey and Band, along with a special surprise performance.  Blakka Ellis and Fae Ellington will host the event to guide the audience through this rich cultural journey. Don’t miss this chance to celebrate the legacy of Miss Lou and support the preservation of Jamaican culture!
