Ride To Remember - Raising Awareness for The Alzheimers Society

I am incredibly excited to announce the launch of “Ride To Remember”. Ride to Remember is a Charity Event, Concert, Motorcycle Ride, and Show ‘N Shine which will take place on September 15th, in Calgary, AB at Ill-Fated Kustoms in support of the Alzheimer’s Society of Calgary.

Supporting the Alzheimer’s Society is very important and personal to me. I started as an official volunteer with Alberta Health Services when I was 7 years old. My mother is a Registered Nurse at the Olds Continuing Care and brought me to work with her on many occasions. My first years of volunteering were spent reading to the residents, helping with recreation therapy and spending time with the residents. As the years went on, I found that bringing my music to the residents was incredibly fulfilling. The positive reaction and the moments of clarity I saw in them was amazing. For the past 10 years, I have been performing music on a regular basis for the residents of the facility. Over the years, I have also had personal experiences with the struggle that this disease brings as many friends and family members have suffered from it.

With your support, we can make a difference. The week prior to the charity event, I will be doing a “mini-tour” of different facilities throughout central Alberta, providing a free concert for the residents who have Alzheimer’s. Through the financial support from the money and awareness raised through my “Ride to Remember” charity event on September 15, we can, and will make a difference.

There will be merchandise available at the event on September 15th with all Net Proceeds going to the Alzheimer’s Society. If you are unable to attend the event, I would still greatly appreciate your support at the donation link below.
