Napalmpom
Napalmpom plays celebratory rock n' roll so good even the members of the band play air guitar along to it. Picture MC5 bombast with Thin Lizzy dual guitarmonies, AC/DC showmanship, hooks only The Exploding Hearts could write and the down-to-earthedness of early Black Flag. Perfect band, right? Well, they’re not that band (sigh!), but they are trying their darndest to be. This is celebratory rock & roll.

Sister Suzie (Edmonton)
Classic but timeless, Sister Suzie is a five-piece straight-up rock ‘n’ roll band channeling the genre’s blues origins and punk evolution into hooky, sneering songs that would sound at home anywhere, anytime. Latest EP Don’t Want To (Reta Records in Canada and Surfin' Ki Records in Italy) was premiered by Range, who called it “the perfect soundtrack for a rhinestone-studded wedding reception with a Pabst Blue Ribbon colour scheme” — we couldn’t agree more.
