Redwoods (Vancouver)  // https://www.facebook.com/RedwoodsVancouver/

From the hills of Vancouver, BC comes a sound that couldn't be matched by the greatest West Coast storm. Meet rock band, Redwoods. Their appeal is simple: fast and scrappy rock tunes that are exuberant, energizing and fun.

Redwoods' anti-trend, high velocity sound doesn't come at the expense of song-writing either. These guys are excellent song-crafters, producing tunes that are cocky and sharp, with plenty of hooks and riffs and earworm catchiness. Moreover, all four band members - front man Devon Webber, vocals and guitar; Aydn Graham, guitar; Chad Carlsen, bass; and Adam Likness, drums - are excellent musicians, blending buzzing, careening guitar and big drums with Webber's soulful, lucid voice. Redwoods first started playing together in high school, practicing in a cramped garage in a North Vancouver neighborhood. Since those early days, the band has been busy playing shows in Vancouver, northern B.C and Indie Week in Toronto. In 2017, they released their debut EP "Sessions in Stone," followed a year later by "Study Night," with production from Tommy Macdonald. That EP features "Tidal Wave," which It's All Indie described as "...an out and out anthem laden with dominating vocals and charming licks of guitars." Redwoods plans to release its first full-length album in the summer of 2019 with the help of Canadian producer Garth Richardson.

In a market saturated with the slick, synthesized and over-produced, Redwoods is carving out a spirited, spunky space of its own.

Gnarfunkel (Vancouver) // https://www.facebook.com/gnarfunkelband/

Gnarfunkel ~ west coast rock and roll that’s gnarly to a funky extreme. This rowdy band features two animalistic lead singer/guitarists along with a tight, funky rhythm section. They’re known for their wild shows and eclectic music that features dope harmonies, rad riffs, spacey interludes and groves you just can’t help but dance to.
Lead singer/guitarists Tyler and Myles met at a party and bonded over their mutual love of engineering and Wreck Beach jams. Clark plays bass with a penchant for kooky grooves, while percussionist Sebastian hails from Columbia bringing a Latin precision. Gnarfunkel’s live shows are carefully curated journeys that typically begin with a violin-bowed 12 string guitar, include dueling guitar solos played behind their heads as well as dancey tunes, pensive ballads and crowd sing-alongs.

Gnarfunkel exploded onto the Vancouver scene with a sold out show at The Railway Club. While the band puts a large emphasis on its live show, they plan to hit the studio in spring 2019 to record two songs under the guidance of famed Vancouver producer Tom Dobrzanski. Gnarfunkel is well connected throughout the country and is planning a number of Canadian tour dates this summer.

Quadra Sound (Vancouver Island) // https://www.facebook.com/QuadraSound/

Rock n' Roll band from Vancouver Island, B.C.

"Energetic riffs, captivating vocals, and a rock and roll attitude to back it up. Quadra Sound is one of the most exciting up and coming bands in western Canada that I have heard. " Says Malcom Owen-Flood Music Producer/Lead Guitarist for Band Of Rascals.

The Vancouver Island based three-piece has been quickly establishing itself show after show, as major rock n' roll force in the Western Canadian music scene; the result of a astounding year including 1st place at "Battle Of The Bands", Multiple Shows in Victoria & Vancouver, and the soon to be, release of their critically aclaimed debut singles.

Combining elements of high-impact modern rock a la kings of Leon and Rival Sons, with their roots deeply invested into classic bands such as The Beatles. Quadra Sound has created arguably one of the more unique sounds to come in recent times, captivating an audience of all ages. This is only complimented by their electrifying high-energy live performance.

"With over 40 years in the audio industry, it’s hard for a band to impress me much. Quadra Sound's dynamic and musically interesting performance put that to rest for a while. This band's visual performance and danceable songs, made for a very enjoyable mixing gig for me going FOH." - Ron Obvious

"The response we get after each performance has shown us that this is just the beginning" reflects lead vocalist/guitarist Nick Fascione. this holds true as Quadra Sound is continuing to break new ground, performing in front new audiences, recording new music pushing the boundaries of what modern rock n roll can, and can not contain. Quadra Sound strives to keep looking ahead, dreaming big and to only increase their so far immense success.
