FAQs

Where is the VIP Experience located?
The VIP experience zone is adjacent to the large scaffolding tower in the Whistler Mountain Bike Park boneyard. To access this area please proceed part way up the gravel/dirt access road which is located on the left hand side of Whistler Mountain. The access road starts at the base of Whistler Mountain, near the Gondola Exchange bus loop. Please follow the VIP event signs.

Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?
This is a licensed event therefore if you wish to purchase alcohol at the event you will be required to show two pieces of ID. Minors are allowed in the venue but must be accompanied by a guardian aged 19 or older. Two drink tickets will be handed out to each ticket holder and these tickets can be used for either alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverages.

Do children need a ticket to attend the event?
Children aged 4 and under will be granted free access to the event. Children aged 5 and older are required to have their own VIP ticket in order to access the venue. One child aged 4 or under per one paying adult will be permitted. Exceptions may be granted at the discretion of the organizers. Please contact us directly if you have further questions regarding access for children.

What can I bring into the event?
We love pets but please do not bring them to the event as this is a food service area and animals are not permitted. No outside alcohol will be permitted. Small bags/backpacks are permitted in the venue but will be checked by security at the entrance.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
Access will be granted either with an electronic ticket displayed on your mobile device or a printed ticket. Please consider the environment before printing any paper tickets. All paper/electronic QR codes will be individually scanned in order to gain access to the event. Please be sure to check your spam/junk folders for your Showpass ticket confirmation email containing your tickets and receipt.

How accessible is the venue?
As the VIP experience takes place in the Whistler Mountain Bike Park boneyard access is by foot via a dirt/gravel road. The venue entrance is part way up the Whistler Mountain Access Road which is located on the left hand side of the mountain. If you have additional questions about the specific location of the venue or require assistance getting to the VIP zone please contact us directly.

Will there be washroom facilities at the event?
Portable toilets will be accessible at the venue.

What should I wear?
Please dress according to the weather conditions i.e. bring a hat, sunscreen and sunglasses. There is no shade or cover provided at this outdoor venue and it can get quite dusty as well.

Are umbrellas permitted?
To ensure each guest has the best possible view of the course umbrellas are not permitted. In the event of heavy rain the event will be postponed/rescheduled.

Is there seating available inside the venue?
Seating is limited to some metal bleachers. Please be prepared to stand for long periods of time or alternatively you can sit on the earth.

What parking is available in Whistler?
Whistler has multiple parking options, some is paid parking and some is free parking. More information on parking can be found at https://www.whistler.ca/services/transportation/parking Please be advised that Whistler Transit buses within Whistler are free to ride on weekends.
