Ray Materick appeared on the Canadian musical landscape in 1972 with a raw, romantic and lyrically charged collection of songs called SIDESTREETS that the Toronto Star called "Just Remarkable!" Then three albums were released by Ray and the Midnight Matinee Band on the prestigious Asylum Records label (Eagles, Joni Mitchell, Bob Dylan) and featured the hit single Linda Put The Coffee On. In 2010 Life And Times a double CD - and a beautiful and complex trip across 40 years of life and music - was released by Linus Entertainment Ray is presently back with the original Midnight Matinee players and performing his Asylum Records material at Hugh’s Room Saturday May 25.
