with special guests Titus Calderbank and Kel Roman

Raincity Blue (Vancouver) // www.raincitybluemusic.com

Raincity Blue is a Vancouver-based Alt-Funk group making waves with their unique sound, fronted by female leads on saxophone and vocals and backed by hard grooves and chameleon tones. Their high-energy performances highlight the interplay between musicians, Raincity Blue is a dynamic and engaging live experience. Members Clare Twiddy, Kaylar Chan, Ryley Kirkpatrick, Chantal Gauthier, and Sheldon D’Eith combine wide-ranging influences from Amy Winehouse to Moonhooch. Communication is the backbone of their songwriting and live shows apparent in the maturity of their work.

Adera (Vancouver) // aderamusic.com

Imagine a song that blends warm synth sounds, a variety of samples, groovy rhythms, melodic vocal lines and introspective lyrics. Not impossible to imagine and not impossible to create. Tomás Valenzuela and Tiffany Calderbank made it their goal in the spring of 2016 to produce songs that combine these elements. The outcome was Vancouver-based indie pop band Adera. Since then they have been slowly working to develop and refine the sound they have crafted from the two’s similar yet distinct musical backgrounds. Influences like Royal Canoe, Mr. Jukes, Mutemath, and St. Vincent are just a few artists that have indirectly aided in shaping Adera’s music.

Titus Calderbank (Vancouver) // tituscalderbank.com

On January 1st, 2017, Titus Calderbank vowed to write a song every day for an entire year. He holed himself up in his basement apartment and began writing and recording music, posting each song on YouTube as he progressed. As December 31st approached, it became clear: he had FAILED. However, the 185 songs he wrote and recorded that year is more than many artists write in their entire career.

After this long songwriting journey Titus discovered the songs that he is truly passionate about. His sound is a collection of earthy acoustic songs and groovy down-tempo soul music. His influences include Ben Howard, Chet Faker, Hozier and many more. Titus continues to push his creative limits and is quickly becoming a force to be reckoned with.

Kel Roman (Vancouver) // soundcloud.com/kelromanmusic

A fructifying love for music, an unkempt but thriving vision, and a well timed layoff start Kel Roman on an odyssey across the over-saturated soul squandering abyss called the music business. It was right around the time Kel's cortex was celebrating the fact it had survived it's first decade and decided it was probable it would see a few more. Through the hands of a close friend, he discovered the guitar. A few scrambled chords and depressing lyrics evolved into an impressive repertoire of thought provoking songs that create images that stick in your head like the melodies they arrive on. His new single Sound Searching is the champagne bottle across the bough as he sets off to protect the world from the evil powers of darkness. Follow him as the chapters unfold.
