Key Info:

• Membership: Every adult is required to have qathet film society 2026 Membership to attend qiff films (see details below). 
• Encore screenings: Encore screenings are additional screenings that require a ticket and membership. They are not included in Festival Passes.
• RUSH ONLY: Screenings that are sold out may have tickets become available at the door 10 minutes before the film starts, if passholders/ticketholders don't show up. A list of names will be taken in order of first come, first served, and offered Rush seats as they become available.

Membership Requirement:

To attend a qathet international film festival screening, all attendees 18 and older must hold a valid 2026 qathet film society membership. (qathet film society is responsible for operating in compliance with the Motion Picture Act and Consumer Protection BC. Only registered not-for-profit film societies are allowed to screen films that have not been classified by Consumer Protection BC, and only members are permitted to be present at the place where a non-classified film is being exhibited.)

• If you purchase a Festival Pass or Matinee Pass, Membership is included with your pass ($5 value).
• If you are ordering individual tickets, you will need to purchase a membership for each person attending screenings. Membership cards can be purchased on this site, or at a qiff sales kiosk. Memberships will also be available for sale during the Festival at the Patricia Theatre box office.

FAQs

Can I reserve a seat? Seat reservations are only available to passholders via "Reserved Seating" passes. Individual tickets will be general admission only. **RESERVED SEATING SOLD OUT FOR 2026**

What is the age requirement for a senior's pass/ticket? 65 and older qualify for senior's rate.

What time should I be at the theatre for a screening? Doors open 30 minutes before screening for ticket sales and entry. Patrons are advised to arrive as early as possible. We hold seats for pass and ticket holders until 10 minutes before screening, at which time available seats will be offered for sale as Rush Tickets. This applies to passholders as well as an individual ticket holders.

What are Rush Tickets? When all pre-sale tickets have been sold for a particular film, advance ticket sales are closed and any remaining tickets become available as Rush Tickets. Rush Tickets become available in the last 10 minutes before the movie screening when ticket-holders and pass-holders don't show up. For highly anticipated films, we recommend coming early to secure your spot in the Rush Line, as only a very limited number of tickets will become available and admission cannot be guaranteed.

Can youth attend? Most of the films shown at qiff are unrated in BC and therefore youth are not permitted to attend. Please see the Key Information section above for any rated films that do permit youth attendance.

What can I bring into the event? Anything purchased at Concession at Patricia Theatre can be taken in to enjoy during a film.

For an additional $10, passholders now have the option to reserve a seat for the duration of the Festival!

1. Use the seat map below to choose your preferred seat(s).
2. Select the "Reserved Seating" pass in the ticket list.
3. Type in your preferred seat numbers when prompted
4. Pick up your pass(es) before the festival! (Allow 5 business days for processing)

Note:

• Reserved seats will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. Though we will update the seat map below periodically, it is not being updated in real time and we can't guarantee the seats you choose will be available. If your preferred seats are already reserved by someone else, we will assign you the closest available seats. If you have specific preferences (eg, "aisle only"), please indicate those when you are placing your order. You are also welcome to indicate your second choice in seats in case your first choice is not available.
• Loge seats are not available for Reserved Seating. If you are purchasing a Reserved Seating pass and require accessible seating, please note that in your order and we will contact you to discuss.
