Join us for Alternative Pride 2022, now in our 8th year, as we celebrate making innovative spaces that never compromise personal freedom, sexual expression, and gay liberation. Lighting up some of Vancouver’s most iconic landmarks and locations we bring to you a series of 6 main events, afterhours, and protests that promise to continue creating spaces made just for you. As always, Alternative Pride never accepts corporate or state sponsorship and censorship. We strive to create an unparalleled arena of personal expression that provides you with the liberty to be your truest and most illustrious self all year long.

-Backdoor Pride Edition (Main Event)

Festival Passes are available now. Festival Passes are your guaranteed entry to all 6 events including Backdoor and all the afterhours. Festival Pass holders never wait in line and have express entry. Festival Pass holders make Alternative Pride possible by supporting the mission to make Vancouver a more engaging and sexually liberated city. Early Bird Festival Passes are only $150 but have access to over $300 of events and help make Alternative Pride 2022 the best year ever! This year's Alternative Pride theme is "Mystical Forest", based on the incredible theme artwork. We will be transforming some of Vancouver’s most iconic landmarks and greasiest afterhours into an adventure through your most imaginative and devious fantasies - with wall-to-wall decor, art installations, and projections, bringing you to the most enchanted and gayest land of your dreams. The theme and title imagery is created by Vancouver-based queer artist and painter, Stevie Broome. Check out and support his artwork here.
