Pride Party: The Movement

Girls On Decks is grateful to be on the traditional territory of the Niisitapi, which includes the Siksika, the Piikani, and the Kainai. Moh-kins-tsis (Calgary) is in Treaty 7 territory and is also home to the Tsuut’ina, the Stoney Nakoda and Métis Nation of Alberta (Region III).

THE MOVEMENT is held at a central location in downtown Calgary only a few blocks from LRT and with Bus Stops everywhere. Broken City is working to ensure a safe space for our Queer community they host many diverse events from Drag to Hip Hop Showcases. The space is mulit-level (in the summer) and is big enough for everyone! Premium sound and plenty of room to dance chill and make new friends. 

- Parking is free on the street after 6PM. You must pay before 6 and be careful where you park before 6 as there are restrictions during rush hour. 
- Bring sunscreen as it's a gorgeous day! Protect your neck! 
- Free water is available to everyone via the Broken City Bar. Please stay hydrated in this super warm weather. 
- This event is built around community and P.L.U.R ethos. This means peace, love, unity & respect is in full effect at all times. Absolutely no racism, homophobia, fatphobia, ableism, ageism, transphobia, sexism or violence will be tolerated. Be kind to your fellow dancers, families and friends. Take responsibility for the energy and vibe that you bring to the space.
