Pop up Tea-ki Bar Social

Help us celebrate T's Once Upon a Tea Leaf's 10 Year Anniversary with a Pop-up Tea-ki Bar Social on August 12th. This event is 19+ and will transform one of Maple Ridge's back alleys into a social scene like you've never seen! Cocktails, Food Truck Dinner, DJ, Vendors to Shop, Prizes and more.

Your ticket includes 2 boozy bevies, unlimited self-serve non-alcoholic beverages, a delish meal from Taqueria del Pueblo (vegan and gluten free options available....taco bout a party!!!), Lavender Earl Grey Gelato from Cremino Gelato Caffe, door prizes, goodie bags and more.   

Proceeds from this event will support Ridge Meadows Association for Community Living's Vicuna Art Studio. Vicuña Art Studio was opened in 2008 by the Ridge Meadows Association for Community Living (RMACL) with the main purpose to provide an inclusive and welcoming environment offering opportunities for aspiring artists with differing abilities. RMACL is a not for profit organisation whose mission is to provide services and advocacy in the community that support children and adults with developmental issues, and their families.  The success of the Vicuna Art Studio program is that there are so many benefits to the artists. First, it’s a part of an individual’s creative outlet, secondly, it’s a way for them to find an identity as an artist, and be able to learn and express themselves, to learn technical skills, concentration, fine motor skills and be able to develop patience and see how the process works. Goals for each and every artist are unique and based on each person’s likes, abilities, desires and individual expectations. The result is that artists are supported to truly express themselves unreservedly and with passion. The studio hosts gallery shows throughout the year and share their works at local businesses and other art shows where possible.

What do I wear to a Pop-up Tea-ki Bar Social?  

This is a scene unlike anything you've seen in Maple Ridge so you're going to want to look and feel fab but remember while you build your tiki chic look that this is in an alley so comfy shoes are key : ) 

Is this event an all you can eat/drink party?

Ha! We wish. When you check in you will be given two boozy drink tickets and a voucher for your food truck meal. At the food truck, you'll have a choice of 4 tacos, a burrito or a quesadilla. The Tea-ki Bar will offer a selection of custom tea-ki cocktails and a few other libations. More drink tickets are available for purchase at check-in or during the event in the shop. You will have access to unlimited self-serve chilled non-boozy drinks and the hottea bar. 

I have my tickets but where do I check in and get access to the alley? What if I require wheelchair access? 

Check in: You will check in via T's Once Upon a Tea Leaf at 11970 224th Street Maple Ridge BC and this will be the only way to access the alley. Note- If you require wheelchair access please let us know and we will be happy to let you in a VIP entrance. 

Where should I park?

The parking lot and alley will be closed so if you are driving a car please use the street parking or pay to park behind the ACT Theatre. Please DO NOT drink and drive. We will be thrilled to call you a cab at your request.

Do I need ID? 

Yes.  No ID, no entry. All guests will be age verified and marked with bracelets at the door. 

Is this event dog-friendly? 

You know we love dogs, Sadie is in our shop nearly every day and we always welcome your four legged friends in our shop but this event is for humans only.
