Description
Immerse yourself in Whistler’s alpine magic with a Plein Air Painting Adventure, a rare opportunity to blend creativity with nature in one of the most awe-inspiring corners of the mountain.
Your journey begins with a scenic hike leading you to an exclusive setting at the Harmony Ridge Inuksuk with panoramic views of the mountains. Led by a professional local artist, Cassie Dickinson, you'll settle in with all the tools you need to create your own plein air masterpiece - canvas, easel, paints, and brushes are all provided at the location. After painting, we’ll walk back to the Roundhouse, where a well-earned complimentary drink from See Ya Later Ranch awaits on the sunny patio, capping off an unforgettable mountaintop experience before your gondola descent.
Can't make this date? We have a second Plein Air Painting Adventure date available on August 22.

Location:
You can access the Harmony Ridge Inuksuk by hiking up Pika's Traverse directly from the Roundhouse. This takes approximately 45 minutes and requires moderate fitness and proper footwear.
Alternatively, take the scenic route. From the Roundhouse, you can walk down to Peak Chair and ride to the very top of Whistler Mountain. Allow extra time to take in the view before walking down Mathews Traverse to the Harmony Ridge Inuksuk. This route can take approximately 1.5 hours, but is mostly downhill.

Meet the Artist:
Cassie Dickinson is a Whistler-based oil painter, whose work is deeply rooted in the landscapes of the Coast Mountains and the quiet moments of wonder found in the natural world. Drawn to the Sea to Sky by its wild beauty and sense of adventure, Cass creates paintings inspired by the places she experiences firsthand. Time spent hiking alpine trails, skiing, sitting beside rivers, and encountering wildlife all shape the work she creates. Working primarily in oils, Cass combines realism with expressive brushwork and layered colour to create paintings that feel immersive, emotional, and deeply personal. For her, painting is a way of holding onto moments that cannot truly be held.
